本列表涵盖了德国铁路股份公司(DB AG)自从 1994 年 1 月 1 日成立后仍在使用的车辆。这些系列是根据德国联邦铁路的系列编号方案进行编号的,该方案于 1994 年被德国铁路采用。
根据《一般铁路法》(Allgemeinen Eisenbahngesetzes,AEG)第 5 条第 1e 款和第 25a 款以及基于此的欧洲共同体指导方针,自 2007 年 1 月起,德国联邦铁路管理局负责维护国家车辆登记册。根据国际铁路联盟(UIC)关于动力车辆的强制性编号方案,为在德国登记的铁路车辆分配编号。这些型号编号的概述可在德国车辆登记册中找到。不过,对于内部管理而言,德国铁路的型号编号仍然适用。
